2018-2019 Executive Producer 'Web of Lies' Blast Films for Discovery ID.

April 2016-November 2017 Executive Producer 'Forbidden' Blast films for Discovery ID. Executive producer of 10x60 drama doc series about relationships that go fatally wrong.

 

April-June 2015 October Films - Barbarian Rising. Executive producing and part-writing an eight part drama for The History Channel, US.

If Not Us Films - Head of Factual
Created a development strategy and slate for this exciting new start-up. Focusing on engineering, true crime, action-adventure, history. Developed and Executive Producing 'A Fair Cop' a 90 minute feature documentary for the BBC.

September 2015-March 2015 October Films - SERIAL - Executive Producer
Executive produced a nine-part drama for Discovery ID channel US, based on true crime stories. Also co-wrote 3 of the episodes with Olivier Nilsson-Julien.

2014 Executive Producer - A Fair Cop 1x90 BBC4. Developed and executive produced this 90 mimute feature documentary for BBC4. TX 2015

Developing various ideas for a range of indies including Raw, IWC Media, Stirling Film and TV, Sunrize/September.

2013 Development Drama Doc Oxford Films &TV/Arte/Gedeon
Creating a drama doc on the life of Madame Tussaud.

Feb 2008 - Nov 2010 Head of Development Arts & Religion, BBC Scotland
Have won over 23 hours of commissions including 2-part series on Henry VIII, 3 part series of cinema essays, 6 part series on British Fashion, 3x60 on Diaries, 3x60 Golden Age of Glamour,1 x 60 Fashion Photography, 1 x 60 Swedish Literature, 1 x 90 History of Calvinism, 4 documentaries for Scottish season on BBC4 covering Scottish art and film.  Also act as Executive Producer.

June-Oct 2010 Executive Producer, 'Edgar Allen Poe: Love, Death and Women', BBC4
1x60 Drama documentary about the women in the life of horror and crime writer Edgar Allan Poe.

 

 

 

 

 



June-Nov 2008 Executive Producer 'Who is Kurt Wallander?'BBC4
Exec on 60 minute documentary about Swedish crime writer Henning Mankell, which uncovered how the history of Sweden affected the creation of his Wallander character.

Sep 2006 - Feb 2008 Head of Development Specialist Factual, BBC Scotland
Set up brand new development team coming up with science, history, business and new technology ideas for all the BBC channels. Commissions included development and exec producing of award winning (RTS and Grierson Awards) PARALLEL WORLDS for BBC4 .

Jan- April 2006 Executive Producer Tiger Aspect
Created ‘Trust me I’m an Economist’ series for BBC2 with FT Economics writer Tim Harford.

Developed and executive produced a range of programming for C4 and C5 and US channels.

2004-2005 Series Producer WHAT NOT TO WEAR, BBC1
I series produced WHAT NOT TO WEAR when it went from being a half hour on BBC2, to being an hour on prime-time BBC1. Also produced Christmas Special with chat show host Trisha being given the Trinny and Susannah treatment. 

1999-2003 Series Producer RDF Media/C4
Series produced a range of successful TV series for Channel 4. Also produced Xmas specials of Scrapheap Challenge.

1996-1998 Head of Film Unit Greenpeace International Headquarters, Amsterdam.
Accepted the fantastic opportunity to head up the film unit of Greenpeace International based in Amsterdam. Produced and directed all this NGO’s film output, including award-winning 'Antarctica' documentary, commercials and pop promos. Also liaised with campaigners to promote greater understanding of how they could use film and TV. 

1995 Director/Producer Short Drama ‘Prayer for a Crash’ (35mm)
15-minute drama shot on 35mm starring Rade Serbedzija and Emma Lewis, written by Aleksandar Alcin. The film was selected for 18 international film festivals and won awards in Germany and Italy.

1995 Producer ‘Prize of Europe - This Man’ RapidoTV/C4 First Prize winner
Produced British entry for an international film competition broadcast live on prime-time C4. The film was a drama-doc about the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture and won the charity first prize of £20,000.

1994 Series Producer ‘Passengers’ Rapido TV/ C4
Devised and produced this international magazine series, covering everything from fashion to politics. Personally went to war-torn Bosnia to make a film about young soldiers/musicians. Persuaded U2 to donate a portable recording studio and signed guitars, which we smuggled back into the besieged city of Mostar for local musicians to use.

1991-1993 Series Producer Janet Street Porter’s Youth Dept BBC2
Produced and directed Rough Guide to the World, Rough Guide to Careers, created arts documentary series Artrageous (which launched careers of feature film directors Mike Barker and Paul McGuigan), plus series produced Dance Energy. Also set up BBC bureau in Los Angeles for BBC1 series Entertainment Express.

1989-1991 Executive Producer Power Station BSB
Responsible for creating and launching Youth/music satellite channel - the UK's challenge to MTV. Ran a team of 100 people producing programming for 7 days a week 24 hours a day and featuring 10 live bands a week. Launched TV careers of Chris Evans, Suggs, Boy George & Jo Wiley, plus producers like Matt Lipsey.

1988-1990 News Director MTV Europe
One of the original team for MTV’s launch into Europe. Director of MTV’s News Department, as well as responsible for ‘rockumentaries’.
